We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead this team. It’s a small, very senior group that recently came together, with strong technical leadership spread across it. You’ll own the team’s delivery, growth, and operational excellence, keep its high-scale production systems healthy, and be a real part of setting the team’s technical direction alongside the engineers who lead on different parts of the system.

The kind of person we’re looking for

The successful candidate leads first. They’re an experienced engineering manager at their best turning a senior team into a high-performing, value-delivering part of the wider Docker org: getting the process and team mechanics right, partnering well with Product, and navigating the personalities on and around the team. What sets them apart is that they stay deep in the technical work rather than steering from a distance. They’re active in technical design and in the PRs, they help shape the technical direction, and they’re happy to pick up code where it moves things forward. We’re not after a 50-50 player-coach, and we’re not after someone who’s left the engineering behind either; the balance tilts to leading, but they’re hands-on enough to be properly in the detail with the team. The team has strong technical leadership across it, and direction is set together rather than by any one person, so this isn’t about being the best engineer in the room or the deepest supply-chain-security expert. It’s about being engaged and credible enough to be a real part of how the team sets its direction, not standing apart from it. They care about security broadly: how modern attacks actually work, the OWASP Top 10, and where a build pipeline is exposed. They lead through judgement, unblocking, and direction-setting rather than process for its own sake, because that’s what a senior, autonomy-heavy team responds to. They’re comfortable owning the operational reality of production systems and on-call, and they’re energised rather than thrown by ambiguity. Above all they care about growing the engineers around them and shipping something customers actually trust.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of senior engineers operating Docker Build Cloud and Hub’s build systems and building Docker’s next generation of secure build infrastructure.

  • Own delivery: turn an ambiguous, high-stakes roadmap, including time-bound commitments to regulated and federal customers, into a concrete plan the team can execute predictably.

  • Get the team’s process and mechanics right, and partner closely with Product to turn strategy into a roadmap the team believes in.

  • Stay deep in the technical work: active in design discussions and code review, hands-on in the code where it helps, rather than steering from a distance.

  • Be a real part of setting the team’s technical direction, working with the engineers who lead on different parts of the system, while giving the whole team room to own technical decisions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing high-performing engineering teams, including engineers at or above their own level of technical seniority, with a track record of growing and retaining senior individual contributors.

  • 8+ years of professional, hands-on, full-time software engineering experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • A leader first: strong on team process and mechanics, on partnering with Product, and on reading and navigating the personalities on and around a team to make it more than the sum of its parts.

  • Comfortable inheriting a team they didn’t build: earning the trust of experienced engineers, and owning the full range of performance conversations, including the difficult ones, fairly and directly.

  • Technically deep and still hands-on: recent enough engineering chops to be active in design and code review, be a real part of setting technical direction with the team, and write code where it helps. Not the best engineer in the room or the deepest domain expert, but not a manager who’s left the technical detail behind either.

  • A strong interest in security: how recent attacks have actually worked, the OWASP Top 10, and the build threat model. Familiarity with software supply chain security (SLSA, in-toto, provenance, signing such as cosign, SBOMs, vulnerability scanning) is valued, but we care more about security instinct and appetite than a checklist of tools.

  • Understanding of CI/CD and build-system internals, container images and image hardening, and OCI registry mechanics.

  • Experience operating production infrastructure: on-call, incident response, SLOs, and the realities of keeping high-traffic services healthy.

  • Comfortable leading a distributed, remote-first team across European and US time zones, with a high degree of autonomy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, and a habit of staying close to customers.

  • Hands-on familiarity with Go is a plus; it’s the team’s primary language.

Get to know the team, the systems, and the commitments before changing anything. Build relationships with each engineer, understand the roadmap and what the team is building, and get hands-on enough with Build Cloud and the inherited systems to understand the on-call load you’re taking on.

Own the delivery plan with the team and Product. Get the on-call rotation to a healthy, sustainable place. Be the team’s point of contact across the wider org.

One year Outlook

The team is delivering against its roadmap and operating its production systems reliably, the on-call and delivery cadence are sustainable, and the team is growing both in capability and in number.

WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

We are seeking a strategic and highly organized Senior Team Manager, Campaign Operations to lead and scale our marketing campaign operations function. This role will oversee a team responsible for the execution and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns and customer journeys that drive engagement, conversion, and revenue across the customer lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is both a strong people leader and hands-on operator who can balance process improvement, stakeholder management, and technical execution. Success in this role requires strong systems thinking, operational discipline and the ability to design scalable processes that improve efficiency, consistency and execution quality. The role will also be expected to identify and leverage AI driven capabilities to improve automation, personalization and operational efficiency across campaign execution and marketing systems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Team Leadership & Operational Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Campaign Operations professionals, establishing clear ownership, priorities, and performance expectations.

  • Drive operational excellence through standardized processes, documentation, workload management, and SLA development.

  • Apply systems thinking to identify root causes of operational inefficiencies and redesign workflows for scale and consistency.

Campaign Execution & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end execution of integrated marketing campaigns across email, webinar, lifecycle, and digital programs.

  • Ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and with high quality across platforms including Marketo, Iterable, Segment, and BigMarker.

  • Oversee intake, build, QA, launch, and post-launch processes to ensure operational reliability and consistency.

Operating System Design & Optimization

  • Design and evolve scalable campaign operations infrastructure, including workflows, templates, and governance models.

  • Establish and enforce QA standards, SLAs, and best practices to improve execution quality and efficiency.

  • Drive automation across campaign workflows and leverage AI capabilities to reduce manual effort, increase speed to launch and enhance personalization at scale.

Cross-Functional Alignment & Prioritization

  • Manage campaign intake and prioritization across competing stakeholder requests.

  • Partner with Marketers to translate marketing strategy into executable plans.

  • Ensure alignment on audiences, timelines, dependencies, and performance expectations across all campaigns.

WHO YOU ARE

Example:

  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing Operations

  • 2+ years of people management experience leading high-performing operational teams.

  • Hands-on experience with Marketo required.

  • Experience managing webinar and event technologies such as Zoom, BigMarker, Goldcast.

  • Familiarity with customer data platforms and event tracking tools such as Segment.

  • Strong understanding of campaign execution workflows, audience segmentation, and marketing automation best practices.

  • Experience building scalable operational processes, documentation, and governance frameworks.

  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging campaign and operational data to drive optimization.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Sua Missão:

Procuramos um Time Management Implementation Lead com um perfil híbrido raro: a visão organizada de um Project Manager combinada com o viés prático e a autoridade técnica de um Líder de Implantação. Não buscamos um gestor de projetos tradicional focado apenas em escopo e relatórios, mas sim alguém "mão na massa" (doer) capaz de estruturar e executar o passo a passo da implantação global de um sistema corporativo em nuvem.

Sua missão principal será liderar a entrega end-to-end da plataforma Replicon em múltiplos territórios internacionais. Você será responsável por liderar a execução técnica e delegar tarefas com propriedade para equipes de nuvem e engenharia. Por lidar com diferentes países, culturas e variações linguísticas, é obrigatório possuir inglês impecável (fala e escuta).

Nota de Perfil: Esta posição foca na gestão técnica de tarefas e entregas do projeto, e não na gestão tradicional de pessoas (sem liderança direta de recursos/subordinados).

Principais Atividades:

  • Execução Prática End-to-End: Assumir o projeto de implantação da plataforma, estruturar o passo a passo lógico e garantir que a execução aconteça no dia a dia (hands-on).
  • Delegação e Liderança Técnica: Direcionar e delegar tarefas com eficiência para a equipe técnica de engenharia/cloud, tirando dúvidas técnicas e garantindo a cadência do projeto.
  • Implantação por Territórios: Conduzir a virada de chave do sistema Replicon em diferentes regiões/países, movendo-se de uma localidade para a outra à medida que as entregas evoluem.
  • Ponto de Contato e Facilitação: Atuar como o principal elo entre as áreas técnicas internas, o fornecedor de software terceirizado e os stakeholders locais das unidades de negócio.
  • Condução de Workshops: Pilotar e hospedar workshops, fóruns ad-hoc e reuniões técnicas para levantamento de requisitos de negócios e discussões de arquitetura.
  • Governança e SLAs: Garantir que as implementações respeitem as políticas de governança globais, regras de segurança da informação (ISO 27001) e os acordos de nível de serviço (SLAs).

Requisitos essenciais:

  • 5+ anos de experiência liderando iniciativas de transformação de TI, implantação de sistemas SaaS e gerenciamento de projetos de tecnologia.
  • Experiência com a ferramenta Replicon (ou vivência sólida em ferramentas corporativas de Time Tracking/Workforce Management). Podem ser usadas opções com funcionalidades parecidas.
  • Inglês Fluente/Avançado (Mandatório): Altíssima capacidade de compreensão de escuta (listening) e fala para interagir com múltiplos territórios globais e sotaques diversos.
  • Bagagem técnica em infraestrutura e ambientes em nuvem (Cloud), necessária para dialogar com arquitetos e delegar tarefas ao time.
  • Perfil dinâmico, proativo e com forte liderança executiva; perfis excessivamente passivos não performam bem neste escopo.
  • Experiência em gestão de fornecedores (vendor management) e facilidade para atuar em organizações globais e multiculturais.

Será um diferencial:

  • Experiência em projetos que envolvam políticas de governança financeira, RH (Capital Humano) ou segurança da informação corporativa (ISO 27001).
  • Formação em TI, Engenharia ou áreas correlatas.
