Job Description

As a Senior Radar Signal Processing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring robust performance of automotive radar systems in series production. You will address complex signal processing challenges after Start of Production (SOP), adapt platform-based solutions to customer-specific needs, and actively shape the future of radar signal processing in automated driving.

You will work in a highly collaborative, international environment where your technical expertise, analytical mindset, and mentoring skills make a real impact on product quality and customer satisfaction.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and resolve complex radar signal processing (RSP) issues in series production to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Develop and customize radar signal processing features based on existing platform solutions for different customer projects.
  • Define and implement customer-specific RSP variants in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical interface between manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to support efficient problem resolution.
  • Mentor and support colleagues on advanced RSP topics, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Monitor technology trends and customer feedback to support future RSP development and cost optimization.
  • Drive process improvements within RSP engineering to increase efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you?

Education

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in signal processing or automotive radar development.
  • Prior hands-on experience in Radar Signal Processing is a strong advantage, but not a strict requirement.

Know-how

  • Advanced programming skills in MATLAB and Python
  • Intermediate experience with C++
  • Practical knowledge of VS Code, Git, and Jira
  • Experience with Lauterbach TRACE32 debugging is a plus
  • Familiarity with Automated Driving / ADAS systems is an advantage

Languages

  • English (mandatory)
  • Portuguese (preferred)
  • German (a plus)
